Life
About
1972 wasn't a really fine year for wines, although I consider the 1972 Chateau Beychevelle a exceptionally good one.
But I still consider it a good year because I was born into the autumn of this year, where young adults were finally allowed to vote from 18 years of age from now on, Star Trek was aired in Germany for the first time, the four people lateron famous under the band name ABBA recorded their first single and the first home video game console called Magnavox - Odyssey saw the light.
Nowadays I'm more into coffee than wine. To be precise: I admire all kind of coffee. I love to play with all kinds of game consoles and find my way through a life with quite a lot of fun, creativity, beautiful moments and a big bunch of very good friends.
I live in Ulm (blabla, highest church spire in the world, blabla, etc.), an adorable city in the south of Germany, which is great to live in because it features the right amount of huge city and swabian flair.

Creativity
Being creative and having the opportunity to live my creativity is quite an important aspect of my life. I explored various fields of design and arts, but I'm mostly concentrating on digital painting and design.
Sometimes I feel to have far too much ideas for the lifetime I'm given, but I love to discover new things, learn about new technologies and I can proudly state that I really kept some parts of a kid's mind inside my mind. I think that the following quote is fitting me best:
Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
~ Chili Davis

The Demoscene
For quite some time I'm a founder and still an active member of the demogroup called "NUANCE Demoscene Family". Basically the demoscene is an underground culture of creative people creating realtime computer demonstrations.
Some call it art. Some don't. Honestly: I don't care wether it is or not. It just is another possibility to free my creative side.
I've been doing graphics for demoscene purposes since around 1989 and started to paint the digital way on the Commodore 64. Moved on to the Amiga, where I founded the group in 1991 and carried on to actively contribute to the demoscene since then.
You can have a look at some of my works through the "digital arts" section under "works".
Relaxing
When I'm taking some time off from all the creativities and work related activities, I love going skiing, reading books, listening to music, going to concert as much as I like straying through fantasy world in computer games. Most of the time I enjoy gaming stuff on the Xbox 360. It's a kind of holiday from reality. Not to forget that I'm a big fan of the 360 karaoke game series called LIPS. My neighbours also quite like my singing I guess, but I try not to sing too late now! ;)
Spending some time on flea markets and hunting for retro stuff is also one of my latest hobbies and I have to say that I'm getting better shooting ancient computer and console stuff for low prices. Sadly my storage space is slowly becoming a little bit narrow.
I also like to hang out at places where good coffee is served and I'm also known for always having enough of different brands of coffee at home to satisfy all the tasty needs of visitors, no matter how early or late they pay me a visit.
