I managed to win the Oldskool Graphics Competition at the Sundown 2010 with my remote entry called:

"Silently floating into darkness"
(Subtitle: "Glückswali" ;) )

It's a C=64 picture done in Koala format (160*200) using Timanthes painfully done in the good old pixel-by-pixel-technique. No fill patterns or anything like this were used.

...for the price is the Genius EasyPen i405 graphics tablet I won at the Buenzli 2010 as first price of the graphics competition. It took some time to install it properly under Windows 7 Pro 64bit, but now it works like a charm. The movements are transfered to the screen quite fast and accurate. The tablet size is appropriate and drawing with it is quite comfortable. The pen is holding one battery, so it's bigger than the ordinary Wacom pen...but nevertheless it's comfortable to use. Overall it's quite recommendable for the beginner and advanced painter. You can get it for only 33.- Euros over at Amazon.

Today I will be off to visit the EVOKE demoparty in Cologne. The combined Buenzli-Evoke-Ticket was actually a good idea. I have to work today (damn) and also visit the doctor lateron (double damn), so I'll be arriving quite late at the party. Let's see if I'll manage to finish a competition picture for Evoke, but I don't have anything really worthy in the pipeline. I guess I'll just throw in one of my new C64 pictures then. We'll see. I'm looking forward to the party, especially because my sweetheart will already wait for me there. \o/

Just some more days and the Buenzli 2010 will take place in Winterthur/Switzerland from the 20th to the 22nd of august 2010. I'm sooooo looking forward travelling there together with Addie and meeting all the fellow demosceners and have once again great competitions and tons of fun and and and...! \o/

...just right after an end...you sometimes...find a new beginning.

And even if you decided for yourself to walk your path alone for some time...

...the person you meet takes away your angers, your fears, your decision to stay alone, your sadness, your doubt, your sorrow...with just a smile, some words and her nature.

I found this person in the most unexpected moment of my life.

She shares my opinions, my interests, my humor and my way to tackle things. She's strong but at the same time tender and caring. She's all grown up, but kept the fun and joy to explore new and old things. And possibly the most important thing:
She brought back my true smile with her love!

I'm looking into a wonderful and bright future. A common future.
