Finally it arrived. The Beta3 of Adobe Lightroom, a software for photographers helping with dealing with the large amounts of photos. The beta version can be downloaded using your Adobe-ID (If you already registered) at the appropriate webpage at the Adobe labs. You can order and compare the photos of a shooting and compared to other software of this type you can do it quite fast. There is also support for RAW data, the GUI looks very nice and is almost self explaining and intuitive to use. It still hangs up now and then, but we can forgive this as it’s still in beta state. Adobe didn’t tell the price for the software yet, but I guess it won’t be cheap. I just fiddled around a bit up to now, but will take a closer look on Lightroom this evening. The beta will expire on January 30, 2007. So you surely have enough time to test all the up to now included functions. Have fun.
