My new pathfinder.

TomTom One Classic 42 TrafficToday I went to one of the local electronics discounters in Neu-Ulm to look for a replacement for my good old Binatone Carrera T350 which helped me on my way to several spots in the last year. But it seems Binatone is unable to deliver new maps for the Carrera T350 and so I decided to get rid of it and I also felt it was time for a change. I did already look in the world wide web for a PNA that could fulfill my needs. I decided to give the “TomTom Once Classic Europe Traffic 42” a shot. It includes maps of 42 countries, TMC traffic info (to avoid getting stuck in traffic jams), the great TomTom MapShare service (you can add or change the maps while driving and share these informations with other TomTom users), a really loud speaker and a sharp and clear touchscreen to control it. The EasyPort window mounting is much more comfortable than the huge mounting of my old PNA. The software installation is easy. Just connect the PNA with your computer and switch it on. Now the installation starts automatically. I already leeched some more applications, updates, the GPSquickFix and the most current MapShare updates. Tomorrow I’ll test it on some routes. Can’t wait to test it on the way to beautiful Croatia this summer. Finally a PNA that holds all maps I need. Let’s see how it turns out tomorrow.
