The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift – Pixar’s Cars

I almost forgot the last two movies I’ve seen and both are related to fast cars. The first one is The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (IMDB) and the second one is Pixar’s Cars (IMDB). About Tokyo Drift the rating is quite easy: 2 out of 10 for effort concerning the racing stunts. But the actors were horrible, the story was rubbish and the cars were ordinary japan tuning stuff already seen thousand times before. Overall Tokyo Drift is for enthusiasts concerning tuning and chicks. Tuning is not really my deal and the chicks were not really my taste. Bad choice for me! Much more better – though of a quite different genre – was Pixar’s new animation movie Cars. The animations are of the usual high quality – nothing new there – and the story was really nice. It had some good laughs and the models and enimations of the cars and backgrounds were nicely done with a good touch of humor. In the German version even Niki Lauda was chosen to deliver the voice of one racing car. Funny one. This movie deserves 8 out of 10.
