After 2 hours …

Amiga 600… of disassembling, cleaning, repairing and putting it back together, the good old Amiga 600 is (close to) shiny again AND works! o/

After disassembling it, it was quite noticeable that a capacitor died and caused the whole machine to dysfunction. Lucky I had the right one at home and was able to solder the new one properly onto the mainboard. I’ve done it well, you won’t even notive if you don’t know which one got replaced! Next up will be the integration of a IDEtoCF adaptor including a 2GB CompactFlash as harddisc replacement. Ha. I almost forgot how much fun it is to work with old hardware! Next up will be the restauration of a Amiga CD32!
